Have you wondered what Judaism has to say about tattoos? Have you asked yourself “to ink or not to ink” and would like to ground your decision in Jewish values? Do you have tattoos but you are worried you won’t be buried in a Jewish cemetery?  Or, are you a curious person who loves learning more about Judaism? GREAT…this class is meant for you!

On International Tattoo Day, join Rabbi Michael Hess Webber for a deep dive into Jewish texts, old wives’ tales, and customs around the topic of tattooing. If you have questions on the topic, you are welcome to submit them in advance and the rabbi will gather materials accordingly.  You can email your questions to rabbimichael@columbiajewish.org.
