Join Howard EcoWorks, in conjunction with Interfaith Partners for the Chesapeake’s One Water Partnership Program, to work with the Oakland Mills Interfaith Center Green Team to restore and maintain the 4 rain gardens on the property.
Volunteers of all Oakland Mills Interfaith Center congrgations will be led by Eagle Scout Candidate Andy Barrera with assistance of EcoWorks crew members. Restoration of this rain garden is Andy’s Eagle Scout Project.
Volunteers must wear long pants, work boots and work gloves as well as bring any food or water you may need while on site. For safety precautions you will be sent away if you wear shorts or open toed shoes. You must also wear a mask and consent to having your temperature taken upon arrival.
Hand tools will be provided by Howard EcoWorks so if you bring your own please make sure it is labeled with your name!
