YOUR OPPORTUNITY TO PARTICIPATE IN TWO CJC TRADITIONS DURING THE HIGH HOLY DAYS
– Donate food to the needy
– Hear the shofar being blown in person
And you can do both at the Meeting House at the same time!
We will be accepting donations of non-perishable food (*See list below) which will go to the Grassroots Route 1 Day Resource Center. Every 20-30 minutes or so during this time, there will be a Shofar blower ready to go. You can do curbside drop-off by putting your donations in your trunk for contactless drop off.
Thanks to all who are able to help with this mitzvah, while being able to hear the shofar!
*Preferred donations to the Grassroots Route One Day Resource Center
You are welcome to bring whatever items you wish, but the most requested items are: canned meat (but not tuna or chicken) ham, Vienna sausages, salmon, sardines; condensed soup like chicken noodle; canned baked beans.
